About
Communities are graphs.
Every community tool of the last twenty years has tried to flatten the problem. Profiles in a table, posts in a table, memberships in another. When you need something the schema didn't anticipate — a mentor edge, a trust rating, a sub-group inside a sub-group — you bolt a column on and pretend.
Cothena stops pretending. We model communities as what they are: a typed, time-ordered graph of people, groups, invitations, conversations, endorsements, and the edges between them. Everything you can ask of the community is a query on that graph.
We're a small team building this in public, with a handful of design partners. If what you're reading feels close to something you need, talk to us.
Ready to see your community as a graph?
We're opening the early-access programme to a small number of communities. Fifteen-minute intro call, no slides.
